A position has opened up in Honeywell Performance Materials & Technologies for an ambitious Production Planning Professional. You will report to the Mgr/Dir/Snr Director of Supply/Production/Materials Planning with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate your planning skills and play an instrumental role in the success of the company.
As a Lead/Principle Production Planning, you will lead the Materials Planning process across the Site/Network for your assigned business or channel. You will support your SBG Dir/Snr Dir of Materials/Production/Supply Planning to execute the vision and goals for your Raw Materials Planning function and support the people and processes to achieve this.
You will partner with the SBG / CORP COE as the SME for your site/network to deploy the Honeywell Global Design Model (GDM) and facilitate the full adoption of RapidResponse planning tools across your network.
You will lead the Raw Materials Planning process cycle for your network of sites. You will ensure raw materials replenishment plans align to the network Supply & Production Plans and achieve maximum customer satisfaction and ensure working capital remains within the business goals. You will ensure the network Materials Requirements Plans (MRP) will satisfy the network Constrained Master Production Schedules (MPS). You will work with the master data teams to ensure all BOM and master data in the ERP system is correct and up to date. You will own the plan for every part (PFEP) analysis and will ensure the correct stock entitlement is reflected in the systems and adhered to. You will partner with the Production Planning and Buying leaders to ensure materials are delivered to the sites/network on time whilst achieving the ISC goals of cost control and working capital targets.
You will be closely involved in product lifecycle events and transitions to ensure the network production strategy delivers on the product portfolio vitality goals. You will partner with the supply and materials planning leaders to create and execute your site/network Production plans. You will attend monthly SIOP Supply Review meetings at the site/network level to present the site/network production plans and the associated risks and mitigating plans to the Functional & Business leadership in the Supply Review Meetings. You will deputize for the Production Planning Dir/Snr Dir in the Reconciliation and Exec SIOP meetings when required.
You will create and drive a positive working environment and culture of continuous improvement throughout your organization to achieve the best possible outcome from your colleagues. You will provide coaching, guidance and indirect leadership to the production planners within your site/network to increase their skills and capability in readiness for internal progression and succession.
The successful candidate must be capable of translating objectives into a deliverable strategy to achieve business goals and create a competitive advantage of the product portfolio. Utilizing and deploying Lean Six Sigma techniques, leading continuous improvement activities and achievement of superior performance across all KPIs (Key Performance Initiatives).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Defining the Vision & Driving Strategy for Raw Materials Planning and Execution- Driving Transformation initiatives and deployment of the Honeywell GDM and RR adoption
- Lead and Establishing a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence
- Build a culture of highly skilled and talented professionals in preparation for progression within Honeywell
- Oversee and manage the Raw Materials Planning function and process
- Drives the Implementation of the site RM PFEP Process
- Sets Stocking and Replenishment Strategies Push vs Pull to support Maximum Service with Minimum Inventories to meet AOP
- Own and Ensuring material master accuracy
- Cycle Count & Inventory Record Accuracy
- Ensuring materials plan is accurate and current
- Define and maintain Quota arrangements/Multiple sourced items
- Identify MOQ/EOQ/Lot sizes outside of entitlement and working with Strategic Sourcing to resolve
- Work closely with Commodity management to address supply availability for constrained commodities and provide recommended solutions
- Active participant in std transition processes
- Identify and solve problems in and out of the immediate work area independently and ensure materials are ordered and in stock to meet supply requirements
- Lead/participate continuous improvement projects/kaizens
- Continuously improve material management processes to drive better business results
- Support clients to solve escalations and achieve metrics
- Identify material related issues and work with procurement to resolve material constraints
- Coordinate engineering change activities with procurement and/or Honeywell sites
- Close involvement with Prod Marketing for NPI/EOL/Promotion/Projects/Product Lifecycle
- Supports Inventory/Materials Planner in maintaining accurate planning parameters / material master data
- Review of the Capacity and Constrained Supply plans in the SIOP cycle
- Owning KPI's for supply - OTFP, Past Due, Site Inventory, MPS Load & Schedule Adherence
- Deputize for the Dir/Snr Dir in all SIOP meetings where required
- Coach, mentor and develop production your team for future progression within Honeywell
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in a related operations management or supply chain management or equivalent
- Min 5 years of experience in Supply Planning, operations planning/scheduling, materials management or other Sales Inventory & Operations Planning related functional area.
- SAP knowledge and use
- S&OP Knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal & written communication skills
- Sigma Green Belt min

- Proficient in Microsoft applications
