As a Lead R&D Engineer/Scientist, you will be responsible for leading research and development activities to drive the creation of innovative solutions. Your role will involve designing and conducting experiments, simulations, and analyses to drive the development of new navigation technologies and products.
As part of the Navigation, Controls, and Surveillance team within Advanced & Applied Technology, you will be at the forefront of research to drive autonomy and navigation work for our customers, especially in work related to navigation and sensors. You will play a crucial role in driving technological advancements, shaping the future of the company, and contributing to Honeywell's commitment to addressing global challenges through innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a technical team conducting research and development related to navigation systems
- Propose new technologies and generate new programs through internal or external funding
- Design, develop, and test navigation systems and related sensors
- Conduct software and hardware integration of navigation systems and sensors
- Understand customer needs and interface with customers as a key technical focal
- Lead proposal efforts to win new business
- Travel: 0 - 15% may be required
