Position: Senior Cyber Security Specialist
Location: Panama City, FL
Job Summary
KaiHonua, LLC is seeking a Risk Management and Information Assurance Specialist with a robust background in Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Information Assurance (IA) security compliance, alongside a deep familiarity with networked systems management. This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing our cybersecurity defenses, ensuring compliance with evolving DoD standards, and managing the technological infrastructure vital to our operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in security compliance, network management, and the ability to adapt and implement new technologies seamlessly within our existing framework.
Responsibilities (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:
- Implement and oversee cybersecurity procedures and control evaluations across various projects.
- Conduct network security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigative actions.
- Lead the generation of RMF documentation packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate effectively with Navy CA and NAO to align cybersecurity efforts with DoD standards.
- Ensure full compliance with DISA STIGs, applying rigorous security measures to protect systems and data.
- Monitor cybersecurity trends and updates, continuously improving security protocols and procedures.
Qualifications

Education/Experience/Certifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience preferred
- Proven experience in cybersecurity within DoD environments, demonstrating a strong understanding of RMF.
- Proficient in using ACAS for security assessments and compliance checks.
- Familiarity with the coordination processes involving Navy CA and NAO.
- Solid experience in generating RMF documentation packages and ensuring adherence to DISA STIGs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex security concepts clearly.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
