Nonprofit Executive Director

The Hope Medical Dental Clinic, Inc. was founded 20 years ago by 5 Filipino doctors who wanted to ensure that all Delaware residents had access to quality medical and dental care, regardless of their ability to pay. You can have this one-of-a-kind experience as their legacy continues today. The Clinic is a small, but growing, facility with 6 or 7 volunteers currently serving about 15 patients each month.
Overview
The incumbent of this position directs and leads the Hope Medical Dental Clinic, Inc., a nonprofit organization, in carrying out its mission according to the strategic vision and direction of its board of directors.
This part-time paid position, oversees the daily operations of the nonprofit Clinic, its paid executive assistant, volunteer providers and volunteer administrative staff.
The incumbent’s responsibilities, directly or through staff, include operations, finances, and programs.
Operations include office management, patient appointments, provider coordination and inventory.
Financial responsibilities include grant-writing, payroll, invoices, budgeting and some accounting.
Programs include an annual fundraiser, speaking engagements and outreach.
Recruit volunteer staff as needed.
Variable work hours each week.
Job Responsibilities
Planning, organization, direction of the Clinic’s operations and programs.
Maintain consistent inventory and cost accounting procedures.
Report accurate and timely analyses of fundraising, grant-writing results and performance trends to the Board of Directors.
Provide leadership to, and manage the efforts of, site staff to ensure appropriate support and resources.
Ensure the services and funding relationships are robust enough to meet and exceed strategic goals and objectives.
Attend quarterly Board meetings.

Education, experience
Education or experience preferred in fields of administration, management, sociology, finance, accounting or related field.
Management or supervisory experience in a health care center or similar setting.
Experience in nonprofit management and grant-writing preferred.
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
