Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP)
Hope is a clinical, educational, and therapeutic provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. Based out of Chesterfield, MO, Therapy Relief at Hope provides skilled therapy services to children and adults, in homes and schools. Therapy Relief at Hope employs licensed therapists who specialize in speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, musical therapy and physical therapy to provide these services. The mission of Therapy Relief at Hope is to be the first-choice provider through service, excellence, and integrity.
The Speech & Language Pathologist plans and delivers speech/language therapy to a caseload of individuals for Therapy Relief at Hope. Speech consultation services and speech therapies will focus on communicative independence. May require some travel to homes, schools, and other contracted locations.
SLP Essential Duties:
- Assess individuals’ communication skills and implement speech and language treatment based on established goals, in individual or group settings.
- Serve, communicate, and consult as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain detailed records and compile written progress reports and treatment plans as needed.
- Evaluate need and type of augmentative communication devices and provide guidance and training to parents/guardians, teachers, and/or caretakers on the use of needed devices.
- Participate in ongoing treatment meetings, as well as staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from approved school of hearing and speech-language pathology.
- Missouri license in audiology or speech-language pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers and software applications.
