What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller position at Horicon Bank?
Position Summary:
The Teller provides outstanding service to Horicon Bank customers by processing transactions efficiently; follows established policies and procedures. Serves and retains existing and prospective customer relationships through effective sales of Horicon Bank products and services.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes an atmosphere which fosters our Vision, Virtues and Mission to the employees, customers, and community.
- Enthusiastically supports the Bank sales function by providing exceptional service to internal and external customers of the Bank.
- Assists customers and potential customers regarding bank products and services.
- Accepts and processes deposits, withdrawals, transfers, night deposits, mail and ATM transactions.
- Cashes checks, processes loan payments.
- Accurately balances teller cash drawer according to established bank procedures. Maintains all audit requirements.
- Supports branch operations by efficiently completing tasks as needed.
- Promotes and sells products and services, makes referral suggestions when appropriate.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Updates knowledge and develops professionally by participating in internal and external training.
- Perform other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position, or to assist in other areas of the bank.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent required, previous cash handling skills preferred. Basic math skills, ability to plan and prioritize work, exercise good judgement and work effectively under pressure.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a pleasant office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Frequent mental concentration is necessary for listening and responding to various situations. Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds unassisted. Some bending, turning, and twisting may be necessary. Work hours are generally during normal business hours with some evening and weekend hours. Some out of town travel may be required.
