The Food Services Coordinator provides oversight and maintenance to the food services department, including meal planning, preparation, ordering, inventory, and proper health and safety procedures for the program kitchen. This position is responsible for proper storage, labeling of expiration dates, and disposal of food as well as organization of appliances and cooking tools. Ensure oversight of resident/beneficiaries working safely and effectively in the kitchen. Support, training and oversight of staff and residents/beneficiaries regarding kitchen operations. Ensure food services, health and safety practices are followed to support the health and safety of staff and residents/beneficiaries. Provide crisis support intervention and de-escalation of conflict as needed during kitchen operations
What will make you successful in this role?
- Required: Knowledge of effective, evidence-based, interventions with co-occurring multi-cultural, low-income population
- Required: 1 years of experience working as a cook/chef
- Required: Ability to acquire and maintain proper paperwork/credentialing related to proper food storage and food services practices
- Preferred: 1 years of experience working in a residential treatment facility, mental health facility, and/or drug/alcohol treatment facility
- Preferred: 1 years of experience engaging clients in group-based activities and providing positive programming for clients
- Preferred: 1 years of experience providing crisis intervention services in mental health treatment and/or drug and alcohol treatment facility
- Preferred: Current registration/certification as RADT, RADT II, CADC I. CADC II through CCAPP or completion within 3 months of hire
What else is required?
- Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record and car insurance.
- Current CPR/First Aid certificate desirable.
- Fingerprinting/drug testing required at time of hire.
- Current flu vaccine/flu shot.
- The California Department of Public Health has required that all staff in healthcare organization receive the COVID 19 vaccination by September 30, 2021. Our organization is a healthcare organization and will abide by this mandate
