What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Center Manager position at Hormann North America?
Summary: Responsible for providing superior customer service to customers through the daily management of a team of employees to include hiring, motivating, training and problem solving. This sales-related position will manage all operational activities and associated costs of the assigned Distribution Center, while maintaining a focus on increasing revenues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide daily direction and communication to employees so that customer service calls are answered in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner.
- Provide daily direction and communication to warehouse workers to make sure orders are pulled, staged and loaded in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Provide daily direction and communication to delivery drivers to make sure all deliveries are handled in a prompt, professional manner to meet our customer’s expectations.
- Inventory Management
- Write and administer performance reviews for skill improvement.
- Be available for employees that experience work related problems.
- Ensure employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs.
- Address disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy. Prepare warnings and communicate effectively with employees on warnings and make effective/appropriate decisions relative to corrective action as required.
- Establish work procedures and processes that support company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives.
- Use appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department or employee concerns.
- Work toward common goal with Regional Sales Managers to offer superior customer service to all customers.
- Plan and maintain adequate supply of inventory to support customer orders and company service levels.
- Read and understand financial statements to insure the facility is running profitably.
- Guide and monitor the company safety program.
Required Skills and Training:
- Basic Computer Skills (SAP experience would be an additional asset), proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Complete knowledge of company products or related industry experience

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma
Previous, documented experience managing a group (5-6) people.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to assist warehouse staff as needed to load and unload trucks.
