What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at HorsePower?
We are a nonprofit therapeutic riding facility with a mission to provide the opportunity for growth and healing to South Dakota. We are comprised of five unique programs that are designed to support the recovery, health, and well being of individuals facing physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. At Horsepower we believe that as providers we are only a companion on each individuals seperate journey toward reaching their absolute potential as a person. Our horses in all of their gentility, strength, and spiritual grace provide the companionship that their human partners need to realize their own capabilities as a person. We welcome any and all new clients and volunteers and believe that no matter where you are coming from you can find a sense of community at our barn!
Required Qualifications:
- Four year or associates degree preferred *
Highly motivated, confident, energetic, and positive attitude
Strong organizational skills
Strong people skills
Horse experience (preferred)
Computer skills required include but are not limited to Microsoft Office products, QuickBooks, and social media platforms
Responsibilities Include: Promote volunteering (internally and externally) through recruitment and publicity strategies and campaigns * Manage volunteer recruiting, training, schedules, and activity (monitor, support, motivate and accredit volunteers and their work) * Manage daily assignments of clients, volunteers, and horses * Manage general office activities, including social media * Assist the Executive Director with community events to educate the population about Horsepower * Maintain database of clients, volunteers, and donors * Work with HorsePower staff and therapists on scheduling clients for sessions * Manage Cash Log, and enter payments via Quickbooks Online * Other duties assigned by Executive Director

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
