Customer Shipping Coordinator Position Summary:
This person will be responsible for planning and scheduling of outbound shipments to customers. Managing customer portals for shipments, returns, and processing outbound shipping documents.
Responsibilities
Customer Shipping Responsibilities:
- Maintain data in customer portals.
- Assign picks to pickers and shipper.
- Allocate and reserve inventory in Oracle as determined by commitment to the customer(s).
- Enter shipment details and maintain accuracy in customer’s portals.
- Communicate any transportation concerns with Customer Service and Materials Manager.
- Understand, communicate customer expectation on shipments.
- Create and update work instructions by customer.
- Provide tracking numbers as required for shipments.
- Process paperwork and labels for all shipments.
- Scan BOL’s for outbound shipments.
- Performs other duties as directed by Materials Manager. Participates in special projects, either independently or with others.
Qualifications
Customer Shipping Qualifications:
- Reading: This position requires the ability to read text of medium difficulty.
- Writing: Writing skills are required at a level consistent with the ability to write text that conveys non-technical information.
- Verbal Skills: Verbal communication needs to be on a level consistent with aiding customers regarding delivery of products. Transactions may at times require the ability to remain courteous while dealing with demanding or angry individuals.
- Mathematical Ability: Math ability needs to be at a level consistent with basic math skills.
- Reasoning Ability: Reasoning ability needs to be at a level consistent with solving apparent problems through established procedures used in areas such as scheduling and expediting. Decisions require interpretation of information and regular independent judgment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Requires a high school diploma. Previous experience dealing with the public is preferred.
Must be able to show legal authorization to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship provided. Relocation allowance may be provided if the individual has all of the necessary qualifications.
