The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, and administration at the Company. Hospital IQ is a fast-growing SaaS company and is seeking an experienced finance professional to be responsible for building the finance organization to support this growth. Operationally the VP, Finance will be responsible for the proper functioning and work product of the departments under their charge, and strategically will be relied on to be a key partner in mapping the future path of the company as it takes steps to the next level.

- Act as the lead financial team member and strategic business partner to the executive leadership team
- Develop the budget and planning process by working with members of the executive team
- Develop methods of communication of actual financial results
- Communicate, engage, and interact with Board of Directors, Investors, Private Equity community and Executive Leadership Team
- Create and report on key performance indicators (KPI) and establish targets aligned with business objectives
- Own the process for equity financing
- Supervise the accounting function, including A/R, A/P, GL, with a heavy focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition and deferred revenue; ensure we maintain a compliant 409A valuation process
- Manage the month end close process, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Establish and maintain documentation of internal controls, policies, and procedures related to financial reporting and compliance
- Ensure the timely preparation and filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns
- Partner with Human Resources & Legal to ensure appropriate compliance
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits
- Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors, and officials
- Maintain banking relationships, analyze new investment opportunities, and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks
- Serve as a key member of executive leadership team and round table discussion panels
- Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models
- Interact with and bring department into line with Board of Directors’ plans, initiatives, and recommendations
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Business to Business Enterprise Software experience including SaaS licensing experience and accounting of SaaS based services
- 10 years of financial leadership experience
- Proven ability to run a financing process
- 409A valuation experience
- Experience working with and/or implementing accounting systems
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues
- Office environment and remote options available
- Minimal travel required
