Responsibilities:
- Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy
- Training staff to follow procedures
- Organizing schedules
- Greet and register guests
- Inspect the grounds, public areas and guest rooms for appearance and cleanliness
- Ensure company standards for housekeeping, decor and guest services are met
- Answer guest questions about hotel services and policies.
- Experience in event planning and coordination of events.
- Keep track of the hotel’s financials
- Interview, hire, train and terminate staff.
- Monitor staff performance, ensuring the hotel is running well and guests are satisfied
- Coordinate front-office and back-office activities.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Set budgets and room rates, allocate funds, and approve expenditures for various departments
- Ability to effectively plan, set priorities, and manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain stability, dependability and professionalism when faced with changing and difficult situations
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively address all levels within the organization
