Job Posting for Marketing Events Specialist at Hotwire Communication
The Marketing Events Specialist primary role is to coordinate the planning and execution of events including but not limited to new business sales meetings & events, open house & demo events, launch events, trade shows, corporate sponsorships and other promotional opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates and manages event calendar for Hotwire’s corporate events
Responsible for all duties related to planning and executing events. Including but not limited to, defining the business goals for each event, creating and managing budget, event theme, registration, ordering supplies/material/etc., staffing (in conjunction with department/division lead), coordinating staff prep-meeting to set expectations, defining staff schedules, event set-up and breakdown (with support from event staff).
Responsible for coordinating press releases efforts and generating web site content related to each event. This task requires collaboration with Copywriter and Social Media Coordinator.
Seeks out all opportunities to post positive press related to our events
Promotes events to internal audience to create awareness of our activities
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Customer Service, Operations, Engineering, and other functional areas to involve them as needed for events
Plans and coordinates all aspects of trade show and sponsorship events
Manages event related inventory
Other projects as assigned
Attendance at most events is mandatory, this position requires a flexible schedule and the understanding that most events will take place in the evening and/or on weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a superior attention to details
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or general business studies
3 years of relevant work experience, Telecom experience preferred
Ability to multi-task and prioritizes project based on timing and resource availability
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Willingness to follow all departmental process, procedure and guidelines during daily course of business in addition to compliance with all corporate policies
