We are seeking a Finance Controller to join our team!
Together with the CEO and executive management team, develop and execute the Company’s financial strategy, establish the company’s financial strategic and operational goals, financing and investment strategies, policies and align financial plans to meet business objectives.
Ensure the company is in compliance with all accounting and tax regulations; financial reporting standards, shareholder requirements, governmental reporting requirements and related regulatory compliance.
Develop and maintain compliant financial operations; successfully complete all periodic audits, reviews and related activities conducted by the independent auditor or others.
Establish appropriate internal controls and safeguards to ensure that transactions are properly authorized, recorded, and documented in accordance with Company policy and appropriate accounting standards
Lead the financing efforts of the company and recommend alternative and creative options to the executive management team. Provide counsel on the timing of future financial initiatives and the instruments to be utilized.
Direct the controller, accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, internal control, risk management, purchasing, information technology and human resources
Member of the executive management team, providing consultative support to planning through financial and management information analysis, reports and recommendations. Participates in key decisions, both strategic and operational, affecting the Company.
Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
Develop financial and tax strategies
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
Manage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments
Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations
Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced
Oversee the company's transaction processing systems
Implement operational best practices
Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions
Oversee the issuance of financial information
Personally review and approve all Form 8-K, 10-K, and 10-Q filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission
Report financial results to the board of directors
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
Construct and monitor reliable control systems
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Qualifications
BS/BA in related field. CPA and/or MBA required.
Financial leadership in high growth companies strongly preferred.
At least 15 years of business experience; prior experience in the Food Manufacturing industry a plus.
Hindi speaking a plus
Experience working in a family owned business a plus.
Strategic thinker that can contribute to a strategic vision and execute appropriate financial models and plans that support the vision.
Talented and seasoned people manager who understands individual and group dynamics involved in managing a fast growth organization.
Broad exposure to all financial disciplines and extensive experience managing all aspects of the financial organization of a public company.
Seasoned and experienced professional capable of presenting oral and written communications in a well-organized and compelling manner to senior management.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to connect at all levels of the organization effectively.
Ability to work with a highly scientific, data driven senior management team
