As a Senior Civil Engineer at Houston Engineering, Inc. (HEI) you will not only help define the character of cities and neighborhoods with your work on private and public urban projects, but you will help decide on go/no-go proposals. Emphasis will be on further developing current client relationships, securing new work, and mentoring and leading team members to deliver projects.
Job Description
- Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, or market demand.
- Prepare engineering documents, including design reports, cost estimates, project schedules, etc. in accordance with the latest governing codes.
- Effectively manage budgets, schedules, and timely completion of projects.
- Participate in pre-project presentations, interviews, client meetings, and preconstruction meetings.
- Lead and mentor other civil engineers assigned to projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Professional Engineer license in ND or ability to obtain within six months
- 8 years experience preferred, with recent experience in ND
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with project management and budgeting
- Capability of supervising, mentoring, and evaluating staff
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and clients
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position; authorization to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future required.
