Apprentice Agent - Greater Philadelphia Area
As an Apprentice Agent at Houwzer you will receive all of the necessary training and support needed to one day become a successful Buyer Agent Specialist. You will spend the duration of the program shadowing and supporting a Senior Buyer Agent in all aspects of their agent responsibilities, while also supporting the rest of the team as instructed by the team Sales Manager. The apprentice program is a 6-12 month long program which, if completed successfully, will result in a promotion to a Buyer Agent Specialist.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Position-Specific Duties
- Based on availability, attend a minimum of one and a maximum of three Open Houses each week held on evenings and weekends
- Act as a co-agent on assigned Senior Buyer Agent deals and provide support as needed
- Shadow Senior Buyer Agent on all aspects of the job for a minimum of one month
- Cross-train with other agents on the team for a varied perspective on agent tasks
- Provide additional support to the team as needed, including lockbox pickup, sign setup/teardown, last-minute fill-in for showings and Open Houses, etc.
- Attend all required training and scheduled shadow events
- Shadow and support a Buyer Team Administrator to learn and understand the process
Typical Agent Duties
- Nurture assigned leads by responding promptly to all incoming inquiries and ensuring accurate data entry by documenting them in the Houwzer CRM
- Develop a personal sphere (Circle of Influence) to build a network of new client leads, and convert leads into active clients
- Conduct client consultations as needed
- Counsel and advise clients by educating them on and guiding them through the transaction process
- Negotiate throughout the transaction process on behalf of your clients, including offer price, reply to inspections, and appraisal outcome
- Monitor all under contract listings to ensure a closed deal
- Visit listed properties as needed
- Consistently network to create brand awareness and meet potential clients, developers, and other agents

- Attend a minimum of one weeknight and one weekend Open House
To Get in the Door, We Need You to Have:
High School diploma plus five years of experience in a professional setting. A PA Real Estate Salesperson License or Broker License is also required.

- Closed deals as the primary agent: 3 (converted the lead to an opportunity and closed the deal)
- Closed deals as a co-agent: 5 (shadowed a deal, supported Senior Agent, or took over an opportunity for another agent)
- Created Opportunities: 18
- Home Buyer Classes Attended: 4
- Inspections Attended: 12
- Buyer Consultations Attended: 4
- Client reviews received: 2
Compensation
This is an exempt, salaried position. Bonus eligibility begins after the successful completion of the program and promotion to a Buyer Agent Specialist.
