Job Summary :

Using a disciplined process management approach—this position will team with manufacturing operations in developing and implementing sustainable and standardized pre-cast processes that will lead to high product yields of investment castings.

Essential Functions :

• Ensure processes are performed in compliance with methods, materials and equipment specifications as detailed in Corporate Manuals, HSATs, and customer specifications.• Driving standardized process management using the scientific method and six sigma tools (training provided).
• Ensuring development and implementation of new materials and techniques rooted in six sigma methodology.
• Developing a standardized manufacturing process with audit plans to facilitate continuous improvement activities.
• Acting as a conduit between manufacturing and engineering to ensure that technology needs are communicated and new technology is rapidly tested and implemented.
• Providing specialist advice and leading projects in this area of expertise.
• Coordinating and planning projects and resources with new vendors and customers.
• Writing capital requests, managing costs and controlling budgets for specific pre-cast projects and objectives.
• Author and approve new and revised work instructions (Activity Instructions and Product Criteria) for the assigned area of responsibility.
• Responsible for determination of root cause of any deviation from critical process specification. Responsible for developing a timely and formal reaction plan which will include an escalating help chain system.
• Active member of Production and NPI part meetings with primary responsibility for developing certain process parameters.
• Responsible for reporting standardized process audits (HSAT status) on a monthly basis.

Equipment Used :

• As a process owner, you will become familiar with numerous pieces of industrial equipment. While the ability to operate the equipment is not required, the process owner should be capable of understanding how the equipment works and how it interacts with the process. A minor amount of equipment diagnostics is part of the work scope.

Qualifications

Basic requirements

Education:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Material Science or Ceramic Engineering is preferred.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment. Eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
