SUMMARY
Maintain lens inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Duties
- Open all inventory boxes received by UPS and FedEx
- Receive lenses in DVI and place in tray or bin as needed per SOP
- Fold work tickets and tray up new orders.
- Scan tray and lenses to verify accuracy
- Sort trays by date and deliver to next workstation
- Short order lenses as needed
- Print stock orders out of the Combobulator and create stock orders from emailed orders.
- Bill stock orders daily and be sure all orders received before 4:00pm ship out the same day.
- Keep backorders neat and up to date.
- Do inventory search to find backordered product at other Hoya facilities.
- Stock shelves as needed
- Pull new inventory for breakages
- Rebin frame on trays with breakages.
- Maintain a supply of trays using one of the carts provided.
- Conduct daily cycle count and record on spreadsheet per SOP# OPS2007
- Send lens order daily.
- Keep clean inventory and return overstock monthly as per SOP # OPS2008
- Perform yearly inventory count as per SOP #OPS2009
Secondary Duties
- Cross-Train in other positions
- Keep workstation clean
- Do any other tasks requested by your manager
QUALIFICATIONS Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience
- No experience needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Able and willing to work as a team
- Able to read and write English Language well
- Have good computer skills
- Pay close attention to detail
- Work without supervision
- Must be available to work Overtime and Saturdays when needed
Physical Requirements * While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Safety Requirements
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program
- Closed toe shoe with heel support
