2110- Lab Surface - Technician
SUMMARY
SUMMARY
Using a blocking machine, this person will line up lens symmetrically to the graphic on computer screen and apply a block up on the lens using hot wax.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Duties
- Calibrate and set-up machines for production.
- Constantly monitor product and production flow.
- Change cutting tools.
- Change polishing tools.
- Some laser engraving.
- Some clean-up required.
- Deboxing and taping lenses which includes; folding paperwork, bagging trays for the conventional line and reviewing paperwork to determine which line the job goes to.
- Keep area clean
- Help in other areas when needed
QUALIFICATIONS Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
- None required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Able and willing to work as a team
- Able to read and write English Language well
- Work without supervision
- Steady hands and good eye site
- Good math aptitude
