Essential Functions |

Analyzes electro/mechanical problems of dairy processing and packaging equipment, and auxiliary equipment. (Includes assisting manufacturing personnel on process related problems.) Monitors and adjusts various PLCs. Works on low and high voltage transformers, motors, motor starters, and switchgear. Troubleshoots and monitors plant equipment and utility systems with laptop, oscilloscope or touch screen control panels and other electronic test equipment. Assist machine operators in determining when the machine should be shut down due to mechanical or electrical problems. Perform established preventative maintenance procedures on plant equipment and completes appropriate paperwork. Processes requisitions to replace parts used. Executes assigned projects under the direction of the maintenance coordinator. Performs all work in a timely and professional manner, including follow-up to assure work was completed satisfactorily. Continue education as related to job skills, must stay current with technology. Work fair share of overtime during breakdowns and scheduled maintenance, including occasional call in for emergency situations. Maintain completed daily record of work performed on MP2 maintenance software. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products.

High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge of industrial 3-phase power, including AC and DC motors, relay logic and programmable control logic. Must possess a working knowledge of power transmission equipment, mechanical drawings, scales, and symbols. At least 4 years' experience in industrial electricity and controls. Prior experience in industrial maintenance. Intermediate Computer Skill (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.) Excellent Troubleshoot Experience. Ability to work well with people. Communication skills are a must. Multi-tasked Individual. Ability to work independently. |
