What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Captain position at HP Hotels?

As Banquet Captain, you will:
- Use your knowledge and experience to assist in all aspects of operations to maximize the guest experience and ensure team member safety. Ensure overall cleanliness and set up. Conduct training, maintain inventory, meet budget expectations, manage and schedule staffing and other duties as assigned.
- Oversee Team Members ensuring optimal performance and efficiencies, team member appearance, and exceptional guest care.
- Help the manager establish and monitor sidework and maintain the bank.
- Ensure receipt and accurate flow of communications between shifts. Maintain awareness of events in the prior shift and clearly convey specific situations for the next. Ensure the manager is informed of special events, house counts, and noteworthy situations.
Fundamental Requirements
High school education or equivalent, with one to two years supervisory experience required in hotel banquet operations, military banquet operations, or other comparable experience. Host and serving experience is also helpful. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required, with a second language helpful. You must be able to deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism. The ability to use purchasing and point of sale systems is expected. This position requires full mobility, continuous movement, lifting, and carrying up to 30 pounds. We administer pre-employment background checks.
