The Opportunity:

HPC-Industrial's Eagan, MN location has an opening in the Rosemount, MN area for a Field Chemist. The Field Chemist is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with handling, segregating, packing and inspecting all chemical wastes in accordance with our company policies and procedures; This position is an entry point into an exciting and rewarding career at Clean Harbors. THIS IS NOT A LAB BASED POSITION - MUST BE WILLING TO WORK IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS

WORK LOCATION/SCHEDULE: Rosemount, MN working 4 Ten hour days with opportunity for overtime

GENERAL WORK DESCRIPTION: Taking samples, coordinating waste shipments, some spill response, creating manifests/BOL's, manage90 day areas, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Prepares computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications;
• Performs inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;
• Inspects storage area for leaks or spills;
• Inspects drums for compliance with labeling regulations;
• Collects, segregates, and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
• Samples and profiles of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing;
• Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
• Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.

What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
• Hazardous waste experience a plus;
• Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
