HR Specialist

Hybrid Temp to Hire HR Generalist opportunity in Woodland Hills, CA. The ideal HR Generalist is responsible for creating, updating, and applying all HR policies and company guidelines and making sure they adhere to standards and laws initiated by authorities. The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting and implementing Human Resources strategies, programs, processes, and policies.

Performs a variety of human resources administration functions, including: conducting hiring processes, recruiting, new associate orientation, entering associate information, maintaining personnel files, providing counseling, and maintaining Covid tracking records.

Assists with the recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring and orientation of new employees; prepares necessary paperwork for personnel files.

Respond to human resources-related inquiries.

Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements

Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.

Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.

Maintain employee personnel records.

Prepares new-employee files.

Files documents into appropriate employee files.

Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.

Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Ensure all employees are properly enrolled for benefits, and any changes are updated regularly.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

3 years previous Human Resources and staffing experience

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to multi-task; organize and appropriately prioritize assignments

College degree preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
