Accounts Payable Clerk Job Posting

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a growth minded problem solver to join our team as an Accounts Payable Clerk. This position is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function. These tasks include: receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking, and recording purchase orders, and processing payments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling, and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
• Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos
• Compiles year-end reports for administration
• Other duties may be assigned

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of two years of work experience in Project Accounting and/or Bookkeeping
• Computer savvy with knowledge of MS Office and construction accounting software (Vista preferred)
• Very High attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively
• A motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to maintain a positive can-do approach
