Warehouse Specialist

Location: Lansing, MI

Pay Rate: $16/hr.

Duration: 6 months (contract to hire)

Time: 6-6:30am-3pm (1st shift)

Summary

HRU Tech has partnered with this well-established company in search of a qualified individual to join their team as a Warehouse Specialist. This individual would need to ensure inventory accuracy through receiving, storing, and disbursing and cycle counts. They would be working closely with the site manager, buyers, and technical staff to maintain part component measurement accuracy. This superstar would be communicating with customers to deliver material needed in a timely manner while maintaining a professional demeanor. This position is a step into a possible contract to hire with a great company that could open even more opportunities in other departments as they are partnered with a well-known manufacture. Essential Job Functions

• Receives inbound material, verifying part accuracy, quantity, and quality.
• Stores material in an optimal location considering size and safety.
• Disburses material requested by the customer and delivers to the plant floor.
• Performs daily cycle counts and analyzes inventory discrepancies.
• Works with buyers and vendors to resolve inbound material discrepancies.
• Returns unused material from the customer back into the system and storage.
• Work closely with the customer and buyers to process and ship out repair and warranty material.
• Process and ship material transfers to other GM or Ideal SETECH sites.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Required Skills

• Ability to analyze issues and problem solve.
• Must have basic computer skills including Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
• Prepares and maintains required documentation from day-to-day operations.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Minimum requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1 year related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
