The Global Banking Chronos Team builds software that provides rapid automation, analytics and chatbot capability to our business users. We need a hands-on Technical Lead who will work with team members to build a mix of different technology solutions including analytics, chatbots and middleware/APIs.

We are moving our infrastructure to Google cloud and are looking for a candidate with GCP DevOps experience, deploying systems, software & monitoring Cloud utilization. GCP solutions architect certification is a must. Familiar with google tools like big query, Dialogflow, Data Studio. Familiar with Infrastructure as Code to deploy VM’s, software and patches. Help team automate deployment to the cloud.
This role will also include several IT Service Owner responsibilities from configuration management to coordinating/managing BAU tasks such as patching/business continuity testing and multiple regulatory requirements. There are several other applications (outside of the Chronos Rapid Automation portfolio) in the Americas team that the Technical Lead would own responsibilities for including management of the Americas team’s service evergreening programme ensuring all applications are running on up-to-date and secure software and hardware.
The role is for a Technical Lead on the Global Banking Chronos Team working with multiple technologies. This role would work within a New York-based development team. To be successful in the role, the candidate will need to have 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience managing software and support with complex systems in production. Should be familiar with Agile and DevOps tooling and must have experience in the following areas:
- Experience managing and monitoring multiple production systems in data centers and cloud
- Able to code scripts in Shell, Python or Node
- Experience deploying infrastructure and software in the cloud (GCP preferred)
- Ability to build infrastructure as code
- Expert with Linux and windows operating systems and networking protocols.
- Understanding of security protocols for cloud environments.
- Worked with NoSQL and SQL databases.
- Experience setting up monitoring services like Grafana or Geneos.
- Experience with Alteryx or Talend to create automated data pipelines.
- Is familiar with CI/CD pipelines for deploying code to environments on premise and in cloud
- Ability to work with XML and JSON files
- DevOps Support for production systems
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins & Ansible
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $101,700 and $152,500.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
