Summary: This position provides in-depth knowledge and demonstration of technical skills pertinent to nursing and the specialty area of practice. The position is used to promote education and development of the direct care providers to enhance the quality of care to patients. Qualifications: Education QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Nursing is required High School Diploma PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Associates in nursing PLUS 3 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience QualificationsFour years of staff nurse experience is required. Certifications, Licenses and RegistrationsLicensed in the state of practice is required. Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required. Specialty certification is preferred.
