Senior Production Planner Summary:
HSM Solutions – Fort Valley, GA has an opening for a Senior Production Planner to support low-mix, high-volume assembly operations. This position will be an integral part of the plant management team and will report to the Plant Manager.

Senior Production Planner Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer forecasts and purchase patterns to achieve optimal inventory levels and efficiently plan labor and equipment to meet customer demand.
- Responsible for developing detailed production plans for all manufacturing areas to ensure an optimized flow of material through the plant and to maximize customer on-time delivery.
- Manage material requirement planning (MRP) execution to ensure sufficient materials supply while minimizing internal inventory levels.
- Work with production management to promptly address issues to minimize delays in production.
- Assist with implementation of Kanban replenishment methods for components both purchased and manufactured.
- Routinely provide schedules, reports and KPIs to the management team as required by management.
- Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
Senior Production Planner Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is strongly preferred.
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.
- 7-10 years of progressive production planning experience supporting assembly operations is required.
- Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software, preferrable JD Edwards.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques particularly Heijunka.
- Demonstrated experience with VMI and Kanban replenishment systems.
- Above average proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, change management and inter-personable skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
