Job Posting for Inspector- 1st Shift at HSM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


(1) Inspect all molded arms, seats, and backs.

(2) Check each part for density (firmness), dry foam, and any damage.

(3) Check each part for proper specifications or dimensions.

(4) Look carefully for foreign objects such as wire, wood, or string.

(5) Check for proper curing and glueballs.

(10) Label all fire retardant arms as cfr and stamp with identification.

(11) Box or skid all Thomas bus parts and send to assembly dept.

(12) Clean work area before leaving each day.

(13) Record all production information in the plant office.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

No prior experience or training.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
