Roles and responsibilities:
- Client looking to hire a Project Manager 2 to assist our ePMO department in the overall department project management.
- The Project Manager designs, plans, and coordinates work teams from different divisions within the ELECT Department.
- ELECT works with an Agile Framework, and familiarity with those methodologies are a plus. Candidate will follow standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework. Understand business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with project sponsor. Create project charter and work plan and tracks budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics.
- Establishes project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities. Documents risks and develops mitigation plans.
- Manages scope. Creates and implements a communication plan.
- Builds an effective team, assigns tasks to team members, and evaluates outcomes. Negotiates resources.
- Communicates to stakeholders and project sponsor.
- Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Information Systems OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Minimum of two years of project experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Agile or Hybrid Methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with the Waterfall delivery methodology
- Experience collaborating with information technology professionals throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience facilitating cross functional discussions and gaining consensus
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Planview, MS Project
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Gmail, Google Sheets, GSuite
- Understanding of the procurement process and contract administration activities
