The Wire Transfer Clerk completes the transfer of domestic and international funds for Heartland member banks and Heartland member bank customers. Responsibilities: 1. Provides courteous and efficient service to customers and co-workers calling in wire transfer requests. 2. Performs daily start up and close of the GFX wire transfer system. Inputs and verifies outgoing wire transfer requests received via fax, phone or Internet. 3. Performs end-of-day balancing of Federal Reserve with GFX; uploads posting files to the AS400. 4. Enters and verifies International draft requests on Wells Fargo Foreign Exchange systems; records on the daily logs and makes entries. 5. Enters security transfer requests on Fedline Advantage; keeps track of incoming securities and notifies appropriate departments. 6. Processes same day tax payments in GFX. 7. Monitors and determines fed funds position for Heartland member banks and makes appropriate entries. 8. Scans wire transfer requests for record retention. 9. Scans files for all Heartland member bank call-in customers for record retention. 10. Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function. 11. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: 1. High School Diploma/GED 2. Associate’s Degree in Banking or Accounting preferred 3. 6-12 months of banking experience. 4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. 5. Knowledge of GFX Wire Transfer software and AS400 operating system preferred. 6. Highly detail oriented. 7. Ability to prioritize and multitask while meeting deadlines.
