POSITION SUMMARY:
The Para-Professional will work directly under the Grant that is working on suicide prevention. This person will be responsible for developing and distributing all print and social media related to the project and the project activities. As well as assisting in the recruitment of youth and adult participants for the Grant and Community projects/activities. This person will also work with staff to help enter and maintain project data into the project database. This person will be going into schools and working with youth. This person will serve as part of a team who implement the ASIST training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and maintains internet based social media (YouTube videos, Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter)
- Develops and distributes print media (registration forms, flyers, pamphlets, informational cards, print items related to clinical service provision, etc)
- Develops and distributes any materials related to the goals and activities of the
- Implements the ASIST model trainings
- Assists with the planning and implementation of project activities in the community and other areas that we are asked to help with
- Assists with the recruitment of participants for project activities
- Assists with transportation of participants for project activities
- Assist with project data entry and database/accucare
- Assists in working with counselors in crisis situations
- Assists and work as a team player for Suicide Prevention team
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
- Possess a valid Arizona Driver’s license and have personal transportation, which may be used for business purposes with reimbursement for mileage as applicable.
- Must be able to pass fingerprint background check prior to hire, and get an AZ DPS Fingerprint card.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with all departments and staff.
- Ability to accurately enter and manage moderate amounts of project data
- Indian preference for registered members of the Hualapai Tribe or any registered member of a federally recognized Tribe or Nation, after meeting all other qualifications.
- Ability to operate the following: basic computer skills, which include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, copy machine, fax and a calculator.
- Ability to operate advanced computer functions and programs to create print media
- Ability to use a variety of media and software to produce Flyers, videos, web-pages, etc.
- Submit to and pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and random test thereafter.
