Architect

Huatan, a fast-growing international firm of cutting-edge technology in design, architecture, and landscaping, is currently seeking an Architect with AutoCAD experience. The Architect should have a strong interest and/or background in landscaping, hardscape, irrigation, drainage, plant materials and horticultural practices.

Job Description:

• Work collaboratively on both planning and landscape architecture projects alongside COO.
• Work directly with the COO and Project Managers to engage in all aspects of the design process including analysis, exploration of conceptual ideas, design development, documentation, and construction administration.
• Develop site and landscape plans and specifications for master planned communities, parks, open space, mixed use development, streetscapes, residential and commercial development, and green infrastructure.
• Creation of presentation graphics including computer generated plan / perspective renderings, and sections
• Assist in preparation, coordination, and completion of construction documents
• Design full cycle irrigation drawings
• Develop creative and innovative technical solutions to complex design problems
• Communicate design ideas both graphically and orally, and contribute to the development of design concepts

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or in progress in receiving a Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning, Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field from an accredited university
• Previous experience (1-3 years) at another landscape architecture firm preferred
• Exceptional graphic skills and proficiency in AutoCAD or RainCAD is required
• Experience with Pro Contractor Studio preferred
• Must be a licensed irrigator or can obtain one
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Texas Driver’s License required
• Available for project-related travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
