The Collaboration Technology team (or "Collab team") at HubSpot is committed to delivering a productive and equitable collaboration experience, leveraging cutting edge technology that allows HubSpotters to work together regardless of where they are. The Collab Team is responsible for delivering a variety of collaboration experiences at HubSpot: events, conferencing, corporate communication, physical collaboration spaces, project management, and brainstorming. We are part of HubSpot's broader Business Technology team (BizTech) which includes IT Infrastructure, Global Helpdesk, Collaboration and Employee Technology.

Over the past year, HubSpot made the strategic decision to embrace remote & hybrid working, which means HubSpotters are relying more than ever on cutting edge collaboration technologies to make them productive and connect them to their teams and the broader HubSpot community. This, along with HubSpot's rapid growth, means the Collab team is growing and is in need of a technical leader to help us scale. We are looking for a Manager to guide and develop our growing team of System Administrators and Engineers. This role would be responsible for managing technical teams that support our wide range of virtual collaboration tools. This technology stack includes but is not limited to: our conferencing platform and conference room technologies (Zoom/Zoom Rooms), event production technologies (Vimeo & other meeting engagement tools), project management tools (i.e. Asana), virtual brainstorming tools (i.e. LucidSpark), digital signage tools (i.e. AppSpace) amongst others. There are also opportunities for this portfolio to extend to other technologies as demand shifts.

In this role you will get to:

  • Manage a growing team of system administrators and engineers that administer HubSpot's virtual collaboration technology stack
  • Build & hire a diverse team of technologists and build a culture of inclusivity, where team members can grow their careers and feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work
  • Create & implement process improvements to help scale our support of virtual collaboration tools (i.e. incident response processes, automation of common requests etc.)
  • Work across a variety of stakeholders to inform team goals and remove roadblocks (i.e. Product Managers, other IT leaders, business partners in other departments)
  • Manage a technical roadmap across a portfolio of technologies
  • Work with team members to architect technical solutions that enable our product experience vision & roadmap
  • Ensure support processes are effective and that team is meeting agreed upon SLAs for our customers

We are looking for people who:

  • Have experience managing a team of technical engineers or administrators to deliver high levels of support in an enterprise setting
  • Highly value building diverse & inclusive teams, creating an open and supportive atmosphere where team members can grow and thrive
  • Prioritize the professional development of all team members, with a track record of working with each individual to achieve their goals
  • Have implemented process improvements to improve team efficiency in order to deliver the highest levels of service to the organization
  • Has a track record of architecting sound technical solutions to solve for complex business problems
  • Scope out work and level of effort as requests come into the team, delegating and prioritizing work so the team is always working on the next most valuable item
  • Demonstrates a "customer first" mindset, ensuring the team is creating technical solutions that remove friction for HubSpotters
  • Can communicate and collaborate effectively across organizational groups and a variety of tenures
  • Have managed vendor relationships, working with them to ensure an acceptable level of support is met & roadmaps align with firm goals
