Director of Marketing Job Description
Hudson Technologies is the largest independent distributor of refrigerants and the largest refrigerant reclaimer in North America. The Director of Marketing will be accountable for directing the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans based on the company goals, as well as build strategic capabilities that drive growth. You will develop our product and brand portfolio, business model choices and services, customer insights and customer marketing. You will need to be a strategic thinker and thrives on problem-solving and creating or iterating processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Support the development of long-term strategic plans to deliver sustained profitable growth and drive strategic revenue growth projects and key business processes aligned with the business roadmap.- Own the development and coordinate execution of Vertical Market strategies including programs, initiatives, New Product development (NPD) programs, business case and value proposition in targeted growth markets.
- Develop a deep understanding of market and competitive dynamics and execute a Voice of Customer Program to develop actionable insights.
- Assess effectiveness of current channels and identify growth strategies.
- Lead engagement with the commercial teams to communicate business strategy, priorities and manage required support including pricing, training, and marketing support.
- Delivers monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting with market and competitive analysis
- Develops and oversees management of marketing budget and tracks, measures, and evaluates the results of marketing programs to recommend and execute changes to the plan.
- Leads, coaches, mentors, and develops staff, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work with internal, external, and work-from-home staff.
Required Skills and Experience:
10 years B2B marketing experience with progressive career growth and experience in technical marketing leadership and strategy development, relevant experience.- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in cross-functional leadership roles.
- Highly developed commercial and business acumen; an ability to recognize growth opportunities and capitalize on them.
- Possess ability to understand advanced level of technical product knowledge.
- Ability to understand, analyze and assimilate complex market dynamics, draw reasonable conclusions, and communicate clear strategy options and policies.
- Possess a continuous process improvement mentality with the ability to manage change.
- Advanced skill in use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Open to travel up to 15% (COVID dependent).
- Masters Business Administration, required
- B.S. in S.T.E.M, preferred. Familiarity with the refrigerants industry a plus.
