Job Purpose: To represent and promote the company’s total capabilities as an equipment supplier, specifically the new, used and long term rental departments, but also including parts, service, and rental.
Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.Essential Job Duties:
Growth and Maintenance of Market Share and Customer Base
- Aggressively promoting and selling all company product lines with a focus on assigned products and services in the assigned territory on a full time basis and maintaining close contact with all customers and prospective customers
- Maintaining and increasing the sales volume of assigned accounts and territories
- Formulating and implementing a plan to aggressively seek new customers
- Submitting call reports, forecasts and other reports and information as required by the company on a timely basis
- Producing satisfactory sales volume and gross profit for the company while obtaining goals set forth for in the Annual Business Plan
- Time & Territory Management: Utilizing your time to be the most effective in providing a value to our customers, suppliers and the company
- Establishing and Maintaining a rapport with customers, which promotes fairness to the customers and our organization
- Striving to achieve and maintain excellence in customer satisfaction
- Completing and maintaining a customer profile data base that can be shared with other departments
- Maintaining an awareness of local competitive conditions and report them back to management on a timely basis
- Promoting and recommending better ways to serve our customers and our company
- Dressing in an appropriate manner that exemplifies professionalism and company image
- Maintaining office work area and files in clean and neat appearance
Assist Other Departments
Maintain an open quote file for review in your absence.
Support Parts, Service and Rental through your contacts and support of the other sales personnel in other departments
Support Accounting for collections and credit management.
Any Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience
minimum 1-3 years sales related experience
ability to present and sell at all customer levels
ability to obtain forklift certification
ability to work in fast-pace environment while multi-tasking to meet customers’ needs
strong verbal and written communication skills
outstanding customer service skills
ability to work independently with minimal supervision
ability to organize and independently manage time
minimum 21 years of age
clean driving record
Education
College degree preferred
High School Diploma with relevant experience
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:
This position will be working in operating facilities and outdoors traveling to numerous customer locations. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply.
This position is continuously required to talk or hear; regularly required to sit, stand, walk, or climb.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
Position requires driving vehicle to and from customer locations.
This position is deemed a Safety Sensitive job for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment, the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act and the Louisiana Therapeutic Marijuana Act.
