Accounting Analyst

We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our team, where you'll be instrumental in managing the accuracy and timeliness of natural gas transactions, including transportation, storage, and physical purchase/sale activities.

Key Responsibilities of Accounting Analyst:

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions, including transportation, storage, and physical purchases/sales.
• Assist in the monthly accounting and closing cycle, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.
• Conduct account analysis and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Accrue transactions based on estimates, adjusting them as actual data is received.
• Efficiently process sales and purchase transactions for assigned assets.
• Accurately and promptly process commodity and transportation invoices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the Commercial team, effectively communicating financial and operational results.
• Ensure all regulatory reporting requirements are met with precision and punctuality.
• Provide critical support and information for both internal and external audits.
• Participate in system implementation and updates, including testing procedures.
• Produce and analyze financial and management reports, applying analytical review to ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Respond to and resolve inquiries from internal and external customers swiftly.

Basic Requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented with the capability to handle competing priorities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
