The Opportunity

Hult International Business School is seeking to fill a position for an Assistant Dean for its campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The primary role of the position is to manage one or more of the post graduate academic programs we offer.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Dean of the campus to maintain the highest academic and student service standards.
  • Serve as the primary driver to ensure a meaningful and impactful experience and academic journey for our students
  • Create and maintain a visible profile with our student body in order to support and advise them on academic and disciplinary matters
  • Provide faculty with on-going administrative support with regard to the advising and care of students
  • Partner with academic program faculty on pedagogy advancements
  • Help interpret and implement policy
  • Promote academic quality by improving efficiencies and processes
  • Establish tools and metrics for program evaluation and assessment
  • Serve on external and internal committees related to program design
  • Participate in curriculum planning, academic quality and accreditation
  • Oversee academic-related social functions and extracurricular projects.
  • Function as the crucial bridge between Hult’s student body and its administration

Minimum requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant business or education major. PhD or other terminal degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant higher education roles. A proven track record in administration and experience in an academic environment is preferable.
  • International work or study experience is a big plus.
  • Proficient in the use of standard software to manage data, interpret reports, and generate professional, well-presented documents and presentations, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to work from the Cambridge campus- Three days from home and two days virtual pending campus needs.
  • Able to attend occasional activities, events, and functions outside of normal school hours.
  • Fluent English speaker with a similar level in written English
