Job Summary:
The Accountant position is responsible for reporting financial information, preparing financial reports, monitoring KPIs, and analyzing trends, financial commitments and obligations to forecast future activity. Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities
- General Ledger Maintenance: Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial accounts.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations; prepare and file tax returns as required.
- Auditing: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare various ad hoc financial reports as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: intermediary Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Key Competencies:
- Must have intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards
- Must have solid understanding of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Must be proficient in English
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Must have high interest for number and quantitative skills
