Responsibilities
The Lead Agile Coach coaches, educates and mentors organizational leaders and their teams to instill a scaled, successful enterprise-wide adoption of Agile methodologies and practices including Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The Lead Agile Coach works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Humana is seeking a Lead Agile Coach that:
Would be responsible for overseeing and managing Agile adoption across multiple portfolios, coaching and mentoring Agile teams, programs and working closely with senior leaders to align Agile practices with business goals and objectives.
Guides an organization through the transition and drives continued adherence to optimal Agile work practices.
Promotes a culture of innovation by fostering implementation of Agile values, principles and practices, which include techniques to increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and velocity.
Provides on-going iteration/flow management for high profile agile transformation initiatives to provide real-time coaching as well as to gather and share Agile best practices across the enterprise.
Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision.
Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5 years’ experience in agile coaching/mentoring role, change management experience
SAFe® Certification (SAFe Agilist, Product Owner/Product Manager, Release Train Engineer, etc.)
Lean Portfolio Management implementation experience, with measurable results
Active SAFe 5 Program Consultant (SPC5) certification
Experience working in at least two agile transformations at the Program and Portfolio level
Understanding of agile development processes and methodology
Proven track of effective Coaching and Facilitation Skills
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of agile lifecycle management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, etc.)
Ability to work well with people with varying technical and business abilities
Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms
Active SAFe LPM (Lean Portfolio Management) Certification
Work-At-Home Requirements
All Humana associates approved for the Home or Hybrid Home/Office work styles are required to self-provide wireless, wired cable or DSL access to the internet at the connectivity speeds required by the company to successfully perform their job with the exception of associates who live or work from home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Connectivity requirements are detailed below.
Connectivity – Requirement Details
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership.
Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
