Responsibilities
The Lead, Content Development is a Proposal Writer responsible for solutioning and writing content development and creation to successfully respond to Medicaid RFA/RFI/RFPs. Responsible to ensure our customer’s perspective is reflected through Humana’s strategic vision and capabilities to deliver a compelling and successful response. Leads development, compilation, editing, and submission of compliant, member focused, and technically accurate Medicaid proposals. Ensures 100% compliance with proposal requirements; 100% of proposals must be submitted by state provided deadline. Supports RFA/RFI/RFP response projects, while contributing to content that enhances response quality.
Must have demonstrated experience creating content for very large and complex bids and experience managing multiple proposals at a time is a plus. Willingness to work extended hours and assist team members in meeting deadlines as necessary. Proofreading skills, acute attention to detail, and ability to handle demanding, deadline-driven situations. Must be very dependable and possess exceptional customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
3 years of Medicaid proposal writing experience
Able to work flexible hours and weekends
Strong skills for engaging and creating relationship with subject matter experts
Work well in a fast-paced team environment with an agile, iterative design process
Some travel required
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
5 yrs of Medicaid proposal writing experience
APMP certification
Ability to write across multiple subject matters
Independent self-starter and extremely detail-oriented
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense. Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
