The Lead Solutions Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Lead Solutions Architect:
Translates business needs into technical systems solutions.
Integrates hardware, software and network interfaces to form a system.
Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision.
Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Below is summary of some of the responsibilities.
Compiling and implementing application development plans for new or existing data integration and data engineering capabilities.
Collaborating with architects and development leads from various domains to identify the data integration sources, patterns and define end-to-end architecture.
Creating and maintaining ICDs and data dictionary.
Taking ownership of application’s design, testing, and modification stages.
Demonstrating application prototypes and integrating user feedback.
Writing scripts and code specification for applications.
Mentoring junior application developers and providing end-users with technical support.
Creating technical approaches application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migration.
Documenting application development processes, procedures, and standards.
Assessing the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
12 years total of progressive IT systems delivery experience
4 years of application development experience
4 years of application architecture / leadership experience
8 years of large program delivery experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in solutions architecture around API based integrations.
Proven track record of large-scale applications modernization / technology transformation program deliveries inclusive of on-prem, public cloud, private cloud and/or Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions
Technical experience must include use of NoSQL databases, microservices, service mesh, data modeling, data architecture (document, relational and graph), API Management Platforms, high availability/resilience design.
Architecture, designing, development, and maintaining end to end data integration, operational data store, data analytics solutions.
In-depth knowledge and experience on integration patterns, data analysis, emerging ELT/ETL tools on cloud platforms and event driven architecture around data
Cloud certification Azure/AWS
Experience working in Scrum/Agile setup
Preferred Qualifications
Kubernetes, Containerization skills
Kafka - event driven solution development skills
Experience in designing data solutions, integrations for handling large volumes of data
Good understanding of healthcare data e.g., member, provider, claims and clinical data
Experience and understanding of data governance practices around healthcare data
Experience on CI/CD, DevOps tools
Knowledge on HL7 FHIR standards
Knowledge on FHIR standard based interoperability for payers, CMS compliance around interoperability.
Experience in payer, provider data exchange with EHR and other third-party integrators.
Additional Information
Location/Work Style: Hybrid Office in Louisville, KY is preferred but open to Remote US as well

Work at Home Guidance
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
