Humana is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing team. The Senior Project Manager manages all aspects of a project, from start to finish, and works to drive on-time and on-budget projects. The Senior Project Manager works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial in a fast-paced, matrix organization. Join this dedicated team and lead change in how health care for the underserved in Wisconsin is managed.- Designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing the project.
- Monitors progress and performance against the project plan
- Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
- Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the project.
- Prepares designs and work specifications.
- Develops project schedules, budgets and forecasts, selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
- Communicates with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
- Conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project.
- Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
- Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
- Influences department’s strategy.
- Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five (5) years of experience managing business projects.
- Two (2) years of experience in Health Plan Operations, Healthcare, or Long-Term Care business systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Wisconsin Health Plan Operations, Healthcare, or Long-Term Care business systems.
- Six Sigma and/or Project Management Institute certification.
- Experience working with IT professionals.
Additional Information
- Workstyle: Home. Home workstyle is defined as remote but will use Humana/iCare office space on an as needed basis for collaboration and other face-to-face needs.
- Travel: May require coming into Humana's WI Market office locations on occasion.
- Typical Work Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Central Standard Time (CST).
WAH Internet Requirements
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
- Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
