PCU RN Responsibilities A Progressive Care Unit nurse, or PCU nurse, is a clinician who works with patients who have stabilized and moved from the ICU or other unit. • Monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs • Detect any changes to vital signs • Give medications • Interact with a healthcare team including physicians, therapists and other nurses.
Degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program
one to two years of experience in a hospital setting
PCU or ICU experience required
CT RN license
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
Proof of right to work in the United States
English
