Job Posting for Junior Cyber Security Analyst at HumanGood Community Support Center
HumanGood is rapidly growing and looking to fill an associate level cyber security analyst position. This position will work closely with senior security team members defending HumanGood’s organization from attacks. Mentoring and training will be assigned to assist you to get up to speed on our systems. We expect you to be a lifelong learner with a passionate for IT, tech and cyber security.
Our Cyber Security team is responsible for keeping HumanGood’s entire organization safe, secure and optimally functional. The team monitors vulnerability scanners, reviews security alerts and takes action as needed to prevent an incursion into our systems. The security team handles our external audits for PII, HIPAA, etc. The team also partners closely with other IT team members and other business stakeholders to mitigate security issues and educate on cyber security threats. We support twenty large life plan communities and approximately one hundred affordable housing sites.
When you join the HumanGood Cyber Security Team at the associate level, we assume you have a basic understanding of cyber security. Keeping up to date on evolving security trends and issues is paramount. As an associate we’ll expect you to participate in audits, write supporting documentation for security procedures, mitigations and policy reviews, and stay on top of ProofPoint and other phishing alert notifications. You will need to speak with our internal team members to educate them on cyber security, discuss password standards and best practices and continue to educate our communities. About You
We are looking for a cyber security professional who is passionate about technology and enjoys educating and helping people, so you should enjoy making complicated situations simple and painless. A big part of the role is supporting each other, so you should understand the value in prioritizing relationships with your colleagues. At the associate level, we don’t expect you to know everything, but we do expect you to work hard developing your skills so that you can become a productive member of the team.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge/experience
3 years of hands on experience supporting desktop PCs, routers, switches, and wireless access points

Pay range: $75,000-80,000 depending on experience and location.
