Job Description
The Associate Sales Manager role will be part of the Retail Analytics Canada team covering a portfolio of retail clients and product suite. Avid sales hunter with strong knowledge of marketplace potential. Continuously drives sales success rates. Accurately manage sales pipeline and sales forecasting. The role reports directly to the Vice-President of Business Development, Retail Analytics Canada.
Key Accountabilities
- Ability to understand / explain the value of data analytics, custom models and solutions to clients.
- Takes initiative to capitalize on new sales opportunities.
- Clearly and convincingly articulates Retail Analytics offerings and value proposition and overcome any resistance from prospective clients.
- Prospect, penetrate and create new relationships with clients at all levels.
- Drive deals to closure independently
- Build executive presentations, crafting the messages of Sales Senior Leadership
- Work cross‐functionally to drive the execution of go‐to‐market strategies
- Accurate reporting on sales activity and forecasting to senior sales management.
- Develop and execute successful sales campaigns.
- Maintain product/technical knowledge by participating in learning workshops/sessions.
- Cross-selling/Partnership with other NielsenIQ business units.

Requirements
- 4 years professional leadership experience with proven sales/marketing/account management background
- Experience using analysis, reporting, modeling, and forecasting to gather data for the purpose of making business decisions
- Knowledge of NielsenIQ pricing, assortment, merchandising and space management solutions
- Dealing with ambiguity and be able to take actions with flexibility
- Ability to effectively communicate with partners at all levels, from local sales teams to C suite personnel
- Good understanding of technology’s critical role in CPG (Big Data, Analytics, Mobile, Digital)
- Understanding of how information is used and shared throughout manufacturer/retailer organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, (Preferably in English and French), strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
- Large-room presentation experience
