About This Role:
The Central Plant Operator II is responsible for the operation and inspection of all central plants, utility systems, and all related ancillary equipment that supports the facilities and production processes. Documents the need for and implements the maintenance and emergency repairs to the same. Assures reliable utility service at specified conditions to the company.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
- Operates, trouble shoots and coordinates the repair and maintenance of all utility system electrical equipment to include electrical switch gears, control panels, generators, motors, and motor controls.
- Operates, trouble shoots and coordinates the repair and maintain systems of all cogenerations mechanical equipment including but not limited to chillers, hydraulic systems, air compressors, pneumatic control valves, water systems, pumps, natural gas engines, boilers and steam system, cooling towers and air handlers.
- Monitors the chemistry for water treatment of the boilers, hot and chill water systems, and cooling towers daily.
- Maintains central systems documentation. The operator is responsible for record‐keeping. Makes entries in the daily logbook, takes equipment readings, makes amendments to technical manuals and schematics, orders equipment manufacture’s manual updates. Performs computerized data entry for the preventative maintenance program and for the meter readings spreadsheet.
- Schedules the purchase and inventory of all parts and materials necessary for an efficient plant operation.
- Performs maintenance and repairs to equipment.
- Responds to equipment failures or problems associated with utility systems on weekends, holidays, or other times when the cogeneration plant is not staffed.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
- Two years trade school or equivalent.
Experience Required and Preferred:
- Five years facility maintenance experience to include three years of progressive cogeneration operation, power plant, central chilled water plant, central hydraulic system and/or boiler plant, operation experience.
What You Bring:
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical data sheets.
- May be asked to purchase own basic hand tools and electrical trouble‐shooting equipment.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must have good analytical skills.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Must be available to work on an "on‐call" basis as needed.

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $31.47 to $39.10
The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
