About This Role:
The International Customer Accounts Specialist I provides full-service international account management for customers, with the ultimate goal of achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction. Accurately prepares all documentation for foreign import regulations and taxes and serves as the primary internal contact for international distributors and Sales Managers.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
- Initiates the order entry process and coordinates international order management, including freight quote and terms, Incoterms, forwarder details, order confirmation, and customization of documents. Reviews customer proformas for special pricing and discounts to ensure accurate billing. Collaborates with Regional Managers to fully understand all special terms and conditions.
- Contacts international customers regarding order revisions, product availability, order acknowledgments, shipments, and logistics to ensure timely shipments and to meet all customer requirements for international sales.
- Sets up new international customer accounts and creates international lines of credit through the verification of foreign credit references and determination of terms of payment. Supports multiple international territories.
- Provides information to Regional and Area Managers regarding open orders, open receivables, payment history, and credit lines. Provides distributor account information to industry vendors upon request.
- Communicates with international customers regarding account status, including aging reports, payments, invoices, credit lines, credit memos and debit memos. Provides weekly reports on aged receivables. Administers account and order holds, oversees cash applications, and communicates these activities to the Finance team.
- Researches and references complex international trade compliance regulations. Remains current on account territories, as well as customs clearance and country-specific requirements.
- Coordinates all aspects of international shipments with internal logistics team and transportation vendors. Maintains accurate expected ship dates, monitors on‐time shipment of orders, and reports regularly on open orders.
- Travels to distributor locations and attends trade shows to build strong customer relationships and better understand customer expectations regarding the logistics of their shipment. Participates in onsite events and customer visits.
- Maintains and develops own product knowledge and education through product training videos and offsite training related to irrigation products and technology. Communicates with Manufacturing, Planning, Product Management, and other internal teams to provide timely and accurate information regarding all pertinent product updates.
- Performs tasks within corporate portal site to streamline internal processes relating to order management, credit and collections, and shared information. Continually improves international order management and shipping processes.
- May be required to work overtime when necessary.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Required and Preferred:
- Minimum three years of experience in customer service with at least two years of focus in international customer service.
What You Bring:
- Ability to maintain and develop customer relations, and to always deliver excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with members across the organization.
- Advanced knowledge of credit and collections to carry out various transactions. Strong knowledge of international logistics, such as Incoterms, freight terms, and globally preferred methods of payment.
- Intermediate proficiency with computers, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Ability to analyze reports and use data for planning, communicating, decision-making and problem analysis.
- Ability to troubleshoot delays and change processes to avoid future problems.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to distributor locations to support customers and Sales Managers. Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
- Verbal and written language skills in additional languages preferred.
- Experience in the irrigation industry preferred.
- Experience in inside sales preferred.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards software preferred.

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $18.68 to $29.30
The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
