Mission Assurance Analyst

Huntington Ingalls Industries (formerly Alion Science and Technology) is looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of a Mission Assurance Analyst. This junior position will require an individual to work on an established program supporting The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Our team currently:
-Develops and deploys web-based capabilities to support the continuous vetting of cleared individuals by ingesting relevant data and creating analytical and workflow interfaces
-Develops and maintains an AWS cloud service-as-a-platform and supports cloud transition of pre-existing applications and data.

-This opening is at our Kingstowne, Alexandria location. This is a hybrid position - the employee will be required to be in the office 3 days a week and can choose to work 2 days from home.

Essential Job Responsibilities

The analyst will work on the team and execute the required tasks listed below. Long-term thinking, initiative, independence, and strategic communications are vital.

• Performs a variety of project administration support services involving data review, reporting, project coordination, and other related duties in support of the customer.
• Provides business and systems analysis support for projects collaborating with customers and developers to identify, define, interpret, and clarify scope of problems/issues in terms of business/systems requirements and processes.
• Provides support in planning, managing, and monitoring projects through its life cycle.
• Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs.
• Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Develops and implements program quality plans
• Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards
• Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies
• Provides support in continuous improvement of procedures
• Briefs management on the status of action items and metrics to track performance.
• Identifies, communicates, and resolves issues to eliminate or mitigate the occurrence of consequences that may impact the success of the project.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 0 - 2 years of experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Applicant should possess high attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and eLearning authoring software
• Current Secret Clearance is required for hire.
