Our elegant and active independent senior community is seeking an experienced Chef to lead our culinary team. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years kitchen management experience, cooking experience in a banquet or senior community setting, are SERVSafe Certified, and are ready to excel in this full-time position.
The Chef position includes the following responsibilities:
- Menu creation focusing on the residents being served
- Leading a team consisting of Assistant Cook, Sous-Chef, and Dining Services
- Ordering/maintaining supplies, preparing food, testing new recipes, cleaning the kitchen
- Maintaining established standards of sanitation, safety, food prep and storage as set by the local and state health departments
- Serve as an integral part of the community leadership team
- All other duties as assigned
